Womens Center
The Women's Center performs over 18,000 each year" with The Women's Center will perform over 19,000 breast imaging exams this year.
Located in the Neighbor Health Center, on the 4th floor at 95 Leonard Avenue, Washington, the Women’s Center offers digital mammography, ultrasound, and osteoporosis diagnostic services.
Full-time staffing by a breast-imaging physician ensures appropriate care for both screening and diagnostic mammography. Breast ultrasound and a full range of breast interventional services, including ultrasound-guided aspiration/biopsy, stereotactic biopsy, galactography, and needle localizations are also performed at the Women’s Center.
Another diagnostic service at the Women’s Center is osteoporosis screening. The screening procedure, called bone densitometry, or DEXA, is painless and non-invasive.
